In mid to late summer, it bears lots of large, longlasting plumes, each of which consists of hundreds of tiny, purple flowers tinged in blue. During the rest of the season, it's the divided, fernlike, extremely dark green leaves of Black Pearls that steal the show. Flower plumes are gorgeous in bouquets.
