How to grow Pink Jade strawberries:

Choose suitable pots: choose pots with a diameter of at least 25-30 cm and a depth of 20-30 cm, and make sure there are enough drainage holes at the bottom of the pot to avoid stagnant water leading to root rot.

Soil preparation: Use a well-aerated soil, such as peat soil mixed with organic fertiliser or a special soil for strawberries.
It is best to keep the soil pH between 5.5-6.5 and keep it well drained.

Planting Strawberry Seedlings: Plant strawberry seedlings in pots, making sure the roots are spread out and not compacted. Gently place the strawberry seedling into the soil and bury it up to the rhizome, taking care not to bury it too deep, with the top leaves and rhizome flush with the soil surface.

Sunlight and temperature: Place the pot in a sunny position, strawberries need at least 6 hours of sunlight a day. Temperatures should be kept between 10°C and 20°C to avoid frost.

Watering: Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Strawberries like moist conditions, especially during the growing season and fruit ripening. Water 1-2 times a week, and increase the frequency of watering in summer when the temperature is high.

Fertiliser: Apply balanced fertiliser, such as compound fertiliser, once a month during the strawberry growing period. During flowering and fruiting, fertilisers rich in potassium and phosphorus can be used to promote fruit growth.

Pruning and weeding: Regularly prune dry, aged leaves to keep plants aired out. Remove weeds to prevent them from competing with strawberries for nutrients.

Support and guidance: Strawberry vines need support, either by using a small stand or by guiding the plant up to prevent the fruit from touching the soil and to reduce pests and diseases.

Harvesting: Gently pick strawberries when they begin to turn red or pink and the fruit is ripe. They can be checked daily to ensure that they are picked at the optimum time to avoid over-ripening or rotting.
