1. Appearance: The shape of apple loofah is similar to that of common loofah, but the fruit is larger, generally between 20-30 centimeters in length and about 5-10 centimeters in diameter. The surface of the fruit is smooth and dark green, and unlike the common loofah, it has a distinct bulge at the head of the fruit, similar to the shape of an apple.
2. Taste characteristics: Apple loofah has a very crisp texture, similar to that of an apple, but with the characteristic light flavor of loofah. In terms of cooking, it can be used in stir-fry, soup or cold, and the taste is very good.

Planting Methods:
- Seedling: Seed soaking method can be used to improve germination rate. Soak the seeds in warm water at 55-60℃ for 10-15 minutes, and continue to soak for 4-8 hours after the water temperature drops to room temperature.
- Land preparation and fertilization: Choose humus-rich, well-drained loamy soil with a pH value between 5.5-6.8. Deeply plow the soil before planting and apply basal fertilizer to improve soil fertility.
- Transplanting: Transplant seedlings when they grow 3-5 true leaves. Spacing between plants is about 90 cm and row spacing is about 120 cm.
- Setting up and straightening: apple loofah is a vine plant, need to set up a stand for it to climb. During the growing period, the vines should be straightened in time, and the lateral branches should be pruned appropriately to promote ventilation and light.
